Meet the Team

Kim and her training team are passionate about helping dogs and their people live their best lives!

Kim Guy, CPDT-KA

Hi, I’m Kim Guy, a Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT-KA), former dog groomer, and former corporate accounting and information technology consultant. My path into dog training blends analytical thinking with hands-on experience and a deep respect for the dog–human relationship.

In today’s fast-paced world, our dogs are asked to navigate environments that don’t always come naturally to them. My work centers on helping both dogs and their owners feel more confident, connected, and understood. Through clear communication, structure, play, and thoughtful mental enrichment, I focus on building practical skills while strengthening the relationship at the other end of the leash.

My journey into this profession began with my own leash-reactive dog, Ninni. Walks were stressful and unpredictable — barking, lunging, and growling at the sight of people or other dogs. Hiring a professional trainer was a turning point for us. With guidance, patience, and a positive reinforcement approach, Ninni learned how to feel calmer and more focused in the world around her. What once felt overwhelming became manageable — and eventually enjoyable.

That experience changed everything for me. I know firsthand how isolating and discouraging behavior challenges can feel, and how transformative the right support can be. My goal is to provide that same clarity, structure, and encouragement to the families I work with.

As a Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT-KA), I adhere to the standards and code of ethics set forth by the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers (CCPDT), and I am committed to ongoing education and compassionate, evidence-based training practices.

Sean Lenahan

Lead Trainer

Sean brings a strong foundation in canine behavior, extensive hands-on training experience, and a genuine passion for helping dogs and their people build clear, trust-based relationships. With years of experience working alongside dogs of many different temperaments, learning histories, and behavioral needs, Sean leads our Day Training program — supporting more dogs in developing confidence, emotional regulation, and practical life skills through thoughtful structure, clear communication, and compassionate guidance. In addition to overseeing day training services, he also be works with clients through both in-home and in-facility private training sessions, as well as co-teaching select group classes to further support families throughout their training journey.

Sean has been working professionally with dogs since 2017 and brings valuable insight from his time as a Shelter Behavior Technician at St. Hubert’s Animal Welfare Center. During his years there, he gained extensive experience evaluating behavior, implementing enrichment and behavior modification plans, and supporting dogs and adopters through the transition into new homes. That work helped shape his passion for understanding the dog–human relationship and the importance of meeting each dog as an individual. Sean is deeply committed to helping owners find realistic, practical solutions to behavior challenges.

Colleen Tombs

Trainer

Colleen brings 27 years of experience as a dedicated science educator, where she built her career around fostering curiosity, critical thinking, and meaningful connection. She has always been passionate about making complex concepts approachable and engaging while creating a supportive learning environment where students felt confident to grow and succeed. That same love of teaching continues to shape her work today.

In addition to her background in education, Colleen is currently pursuing certification as a professional dog trainer. With a deep love for dogs and a strong interest in behavior and learning theory, she is committed to helping dogs and their owners build clear communication, trust, and lasting relationships through thoughtful, positive training.

At home, Colleen enjoys spending time with her own dogs, who continue to inspire both her personal and professional growth. Whether working with people or dogs, she believes real progress happens through connection, patience, and understanding.

Camille McIntyre

Trainer

Camille brings a compassionate, people-centered approach to her work with dogs and their families. As part of the K9 Kim’s Dog Training & Behavior Services team, she supports our Day Training program, helping dogs build confidence, life skills, and positive behaviors through structured guidance, enrichment, and relationship-based training.

In addition to her role at K9 Kim’s, Camille works with Tribeca Pets in New York City, where she handles dogs of all temperaments and gains valuable hands-on experience reading behavior and supporting each dog’s needs in real time. Her ability to remain calm, observant, and thoughtful allows her to help dogs feel safe while they learn.

Camille also serves as a pastor and has spent more than 20 years guiding people through challenging seasons of life. This background deeply influences her training style, bringing empathy, patience, and clear communication to every interaction with both dogs and their owners.

She is a CATCH Certified Dog Trainer (CCDT) and is currently working toward her CPDT-KA certification. Camille believes that behavior is communication and is especially passionate about helping puppies and new pet parents build strong, confident relationships from the very beginning.

At home, Camille lives with her husband, Tim, their three adult children, and their mixed rescue dog, Maya — who continues to inspire her learning every day.
